About Niní
¡Hola, hola! I’m Niní and I will be your tutor. I was born and raised in Mexico City, and am now a proud graduate of Northwestern University. While at Northwestern, I began casually teaching my friends how to speak Spanish and soon discovered a great love for teaching and, above all, connecting with others in my native language. I love sharing it with others in a way that feels natural, fun and is always encouraging. I know from experience that learning a new language is about more than memorizing rules. To me, it’s about gaining the confidence to express yourself, to be curious, and to connect with others. That’s why I focus on real conversations, cultural context, and practical tools you can use right away. My goal is to make Spanish something you truly enjoy learning, not just another subject. When I'm not teaching, I enjoy writing (writing major here!), spending time with my two cats Paloma and Margarita and, of course, learning languages. I hope we get the chance to know each other and to chat it up (in Spanish, of course)!

¡Qué gusto verte! I’m Niní, a native Spanish speaker, originally from Mexico and a graduate of Northwestern University. Much like you, I have embarked on a few language learning journeys, and I know how intimidating it can be. My biggest goal as a teacher is to make Spanish fun, practical and stress-free. With that in mind, I will tailor our lessons to your specific goals, learning pace and methods, as well as your interests. Whether you’re aiming to have casual conversations, travel with confidence, or ace your next Spanish test, we will tailor our lessons to you. Let’s make learning not only easy but also enjoyable. As a native speaker, I can help you sound natural and teach you the side of Spanish you won’t always find in textbooks. Additionally, I am able to provide culturally sensitive learning and context to ensure you’re not only prepared to tackle the Spanish language but also understand Spanish-speaking cultures and countries. And since I’ve also studied and lived abroad, I understand what it’s like to learn a language from scratch. So do not worry, I will meet you where you are.
