About Charlotte
Originally from Hong Kong, I grew up loving the Cantonese language, Chinese literature and history that is all intertwined together.
Hence, I learnt a lot just by reading texts outside of school curriculum and gave me a solid foundation of understanding Chinese language by its fundamental.
Thanks to my parents, I'm also a big fan of classic Cantopop and mandarin pop from the 70s to 90s!

- Native speaker of Cantonese and have learnt Mandarin since I was in kindergarten, studied Chinese literature and history before I went studying abroad, achieved an A in Chinese A level.
- I believe people learn best when the fundamental is explained well, hence I will be writing and using traditional characters, the building blocks to understand Chinese language's logic and how they come to be.
- Idioms and stories are fun!
- I believe people learn best when they are interested in the subject, so I would want to tailor the lessons to talk/read about things that you are interested in!
- flexible approach to meet you where you are, just give me a heads up at least 1-2 days in advance
- lessons for all ages.
