About Anastasia

My name is Anastasia Kostareva, and I am a 23-year-old Russian language teacher with five years of teaching experience. I hold both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Political Science and Economics. My academic background, combined with my passion for teaching, allows me to offer a unique and enriching learning experience for my students. I am deeply committed to helping my students not only learn the Russian language but also understand the cultural and historical contexts that shape it. My approach is both structured and engaging, designed to make the language accessible and enjoyable for learners at all levels. Teaching is more than a profession for me—it’s a calling. I strive to inspire my students and guide them on a journey into the heart of Russian culture, equipping them with the confidence and skills they need to master the language.

As a native speaker with a profound passion for Russian classical literature, especially the works of Chekhov, Dostoevsky, and Leo Tolstoy, I bring both cultural and linguistic insights into my teaching approach. I have developed a highly personalised language learning methodology that caters to learners at all levels, including those starting with no prior knowledge of the language. My approach not only focuses on building language proficiency but also immerses students in the rich literary and cultural heritage of Russia, ensuring a deep and holistic understanding of both the language and its cultural context. I teach online, as I frequently travel internationally, which allows me to connect with students from around the world. I structure my lessons by dividing the curriculum into focused blocks, ensuring that the language is learnt in an organised yet engaging manner. My lessons typically consist of two main components: the first focuses on the study of grammar and language fundamentals, while the second delves into the cultural nuances, literature, and pronunciation. This approach not only provides a comprehensive understanding of the language but also enables my students to gain confidence in mastering it.
