About Mike

Thank you for visiting my Superprof profile! I have been teaching English for 17 years. I have experience teaching adults and children individually and in groups in eight countries.

Before coming to France last summer, I lived and worked in Afghanistan, China, Italy, Libya, the UK, Thailand and Turkey. My previous employers are schools, associations and companies.

As well as teaching and travelling, I enjoy learning. In 2018, I completed a Master's degree in Educational Leadership at the UCL Institute of Education in London.

About the lesson

I am the founder of a training company in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe. I offer tailor-made, sector-specific, CPF-eligible training courses in English. My company is Qualiopi certified. The Qualiopi certificate, which was introduced by the Ministry of Labour in November 2019, is an important signature of quality.

The specific sectors for which I offer training are
aerospace, agriculture, automotive, construction, construction, development, entertainment, education, financial, industrial, public, health, information technology, information technology, retail, telecommunications, tourism, and transportation.

1. Target certification

I can offer you a choice of six different target certifications:

- BLISS (Bright Language International Speaking Solution) English.
- English 360.
- TOEIC Listening and Reading in Autonomy.
- TOEIC Listening and Reading (Public Programme).
- TOEIC Speaking and Writing (Institutional Programme).
- TOEIC Listening and Reading (Public Programme) & TOEIC Speaking and Writing (Institutional Programme).

2. Venue: In-class or distance learning.

3. Number of participants: 1 - 12 (face-to-face) / 1 (distance learning).

4. Duration: 10 - 120 hours during the day, in the evening or on Saturday.

5. Objectives

Eligible for the CPF, the main objective of the training is to broaden and deepen your knowledge, skills and competencies in English to communicate effectively in your sector. The specific knowledge, skills and competences you will broaden and deepen are based on your professional, academic and/or personal objectives and on the result of your diagnostic test. In order to identify the knowledge, skills and competences that you wish to broaden and deepen as part of your objectives, I carry out a needs analysis and then prepare a plan for your training.

6. Contents

The content of your training course logically corresponds to the specific knowledge, skills and competences that you wish to broaden and deepen, as identified in your needs analysis. The "Training content" section of your training plan defines the conditions under which you will acquire and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and competences, as well as the relevant resources related to your sector and your professional, academic and/or personal interests.

7. Expected results

The training will have improved your productivity and employability, as well as your ability to answer interview questions, which is important for your job and/or studies. More information on the three improvements is presented in more detail below.

A. Increased productivity: If you are currently working in your sector, the training will have improved your productivity. You will be able to apply the knowledge, skills and competencies you have acquired during training to your work and, in doing so, you will be able to carry out your responsibilities more effectively and efficiently.

B. Improved employability: If you are currently looking for a job in your sector, the training will have improved your employability. You will be able to update your CV with: 1. the skills you have successfully demonstrated during your training; and, 2. your final level of English as determined in your final test.

C. More effective interviews : An optional component of your training is to learn how to describe your skills in a competency-based interview. The interview can be a job evaluation with your current employer, a job interview with a potential employer or an interview for a university place.
