About Isabel

A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
I come from a small village in Dalarnas Län, Sweden, however, I spent 10 years of my childhood growing up in Gothenburg, Sweden. I moved to the UK 6 years ago and I am now studying Events Management at University.

MY EXPERIENCE
I am fluent in both Swedish and English and have studied Spanish at University level. I have attended international schools throughout my life and travelled extensively, therefore I understand different cultures and love mixing with people from all walks of life! Although I am new to teaching, I have great organisation skills gained from my degree and I would love to use my creativity to make lessons fun and engaging! During my university placement year working as an Event Manager, I ran a number of events in Scandinavia, therefore I carried out some translation tasks between English and the Scandinavian languages in regards to marketing the event, building the event app and website etc. This opportunity also enabled me to use my language skills in business settings.

THINGS I LIKE TO DO
I have lots of hobbies which I love to do in my free time. My favourite hobby is Stand Up Paddleboarding, but I also love to surf, play football, horse ride, bake and acrylic paint!. Just like a true Scandinavia, I have an undeniable love for the outdoors, therefore I take any opportunity possible to get out into nature. Post-pandemic I am happy to carry out lessons in a more casual setting, where we can share out love for the language and hobbies, however, during the pandemic, I will be offering online lessons only.

About the lesson

I believe that everybody learns in their own unique way, therefore lesson plans will be based on your personal preferences to maximize learning. I also believe that learning is a lot easier when it's fun, so expect exposure to Swedish books, music, films, and games (if this is something which you would enjoy). Learning goals will be set to ensure we can recognize and celebrate your success together! I am open to teaching individuals of all abilities, from complete beginners to business professionals.
