About Stella
I am a Brazilian Portuguese and French teacher, as well as a sworn translator, with over 20 years of experience in language teaching and translation.
I completed my entire university education in France, where I lived for 13 years. I hold a Bac + 5 degree (Bachelor's and Master's/DEA in Modern Literature) from the University of Lyon II, where I also taught Portuguese and Brazilian culture. Subsequently, I worked as a professor at the University of Guanajuato (Mexico), and for the past 7 years, I have lived in Barcelona, teaching both languages in-person and online to students of various nationalities and levels.
My classes are dynamic, communicative, and fully personalized. Rather than relying on a single textbook, I combine grammar, conversation, listening and reading comprehension, videos, articles, songs, and other materials tailored to each student's interests, level, and goals. Whether for studies, work, travel, business, or personal enjoyment, I design a learning plan that allows you to progress with confidence and motivation.
Having lived in Brazil, France, Mexico, and Spain enables me to integrate the cultural dimension of language into every lesson. I believe that learning a language is also about discovering a different way of seeing the world, and I love sharing that experience with my students.
I speak Portuguese, French, and Spanish fluently, as well as English and Italian. I hold dual Brazilian and Italian citizenship.

I use several methods to structure my classes (grammar books, texts, videos, music etc.), depending on the profile, level and interest of the students. I give fully customized classes of Brazilian Portuguese and French, all levels.
