About Elisabeth
As a former ELL paraeducator and an amateur linguist, I have a strong passion for language learning. Languages are tools, artforms, and elements of culture, yet learning a second (let alone a third, fourth, etc.) is often inaccessible. Bad teachers, perceived inability, and crowded classrooms mean that most people leave their high school language classes with nothing but a few sentences. I'd like to do what I can to change this.

I focus on getting students to the point where they can have conversations, then expanding vocabulary and grammar. This means focusing on the most universally useful words, as well as those related to the student's purpose for learning the language.
Because I grew up with both languages, I have a deep familiarity with both of them. I teach all ages, from young children to adults.
