About Alexandra
I am currently studying a BSc in Natural Sciences.
I am a mother of 2 boys (currently in Junior school) and am passionate about breaking subject matter down to make it more accessible.
I am keen to bring confidence to young people studying. I remember being terrified of Maths when I was in school as I did not have anyone to make it relatable for me. I didn't understand what relevance this would have for me and it all seemed like incredibly vague concepts with no context. Now, I am passionate about making sure others do not feel that way and help break down those barriers.
Lessons will be tailored to the individual - we all learn in different ways and I believe in trying to find that avenue for each person.

I believe in making STEM subjects relatable. What can seem like scary and distant concepts can be better understood if we can relate to them using everyday language and terminology. This is the key to my lessons: Breaking down the walls that we (and others) create around STEM subjects to make them not seem quite as scary.
Lessons can be tailored to suit the individual, from bite-sized 30 minute sessions to more intense 1 hour sessions. I can also tailor the level needed, from year 5/6, all the way up to GCSE.
I provide lessons online via different platforms.
