About Malena
Hi! I’m Malena, a current NCAA Division II college tennis player and team captain and I have been playing tennis for over 15 years now. I have dedicated most of my life to tennis!
I’ve gained extensive coaching experience working at summer camps, country clubs like Future Stars in Southampton, NY, and running private training sessions. Having worked with players of all ages—especially youth and junior players—I focus on combining technical discipline with an encouraging, high-energy environment. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time or training for competitive matchplay, I will help you build confidence, improve your mechanics, and make tennis a big part of your life!

As a technique-focused coach, my goal is to help you build clean, reliable mechanics while translating sound fundamentals directly into match confidence.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like:
- Start with baseline hitting first down the line, then crosscourt focusing on consistency, footwork, control, and depth.
- Then we would start with matchplay drill scenarios, where we would focus on decision-making drills and building a tactical structure.
- We would wrap up the lesson with some serves and point play using the techniques and advice given previously.
