About Camilla
Tennis has been the center of my life since I was a kid, and I've been lucky enough to turn that passion into a career. I played NCAA Division I tennis at Delaware State University and won the 2023 NJCAA National Championship (team title) along with a State Championship in singles. Today, I'm an Assistant Coach for the Women's Tennis Team at Nova Southeastern University, where I help guide student-athletes through training, strategy, and competition.
Alongside coaching, I've worked as a private tennis instructor since 2021, teaching players of all ages and levels in both Italy and the U.S. — from complete beginners just learning to hold a racket to competitive players refining their game.
What I love most about teaching is watching that moment when something finally clicks for a student, whether it's a cleaner backhand or the confidence to close out a tight point. I'm patient, structured, and genuinely invested in each student's progress. I'm also fluent in English, Italian, and Spanish, so lessons can be taught in whichever language works best for you.

My lessons are hands-on and tailored to whoever I'm working with — I don't use a one-size-fits-all format. For beginners, we start with the fundamentals: grip, footwork, and basic strokes (forehand, backhand, serve), building confidence before adding speed or pressure. For more experienced players, we focus on refining technique, developing match strategy, footwork efficiency, and mental toughness under pressure — things I worked on constantly as a Division I athlete.
A typical session includes a short warm-up, focused drilling on whatever we're working on that day, and live-ball or point-play situations so you can apply what we practiced right away. I also give feedback on what's working and what to adjust, rather than just running drills silently.
I'm flexible on format — I can do on-court technical lessons, strategy/mental-game sessions, or video review of your matches if you want feedback on footage. Lessons can be conducted in English, Italian, or Spanish depending on what's most comfortable for you.
