A Typical Lesson Plan 1. Warm-up (5 minutes) Short conversation or review of previous material to activate vocabulary and ease into speaking. 2. Vocabulary & Expression Build (10 minutes) Targeted words and phrases introduced through examples, visuals, or contextual scenarios. 3. Grammar in Context (10–15 minutes) A new grammar point, explained simply and practiced through sentence-building and short dialogue exercises. 4. Speaking Practice (15 minutes) Role-plays, guided conversation, or scenario-based speaking (e.g., ordering food, describing your day, workplace communication). 5. Listening or Reading Activity (10 minutes) Short authentic audio or text to strengthen comprehension and expose learners to natural German. 6. Wrap-up & Assignments (5 minutes) Recap of key points + short homework (optional) such as vocabulary tasks, a short writing prompt, or listening practice.
