About Shahana
Hi! I am a recent Social Anthropology graduate (First Class Honours) with experience in journalism and ethnographic research. I finished school in 2018, with 9A*s and 1B, along with an IB score of 43. While my best subjects are English Literature, History and Chemistry (at GCSE and IB level), I am also happy to tutor Maths Biology (at GCSE level).
I have considerable experience working with younger children, having taught music and dance in my local community for 5 years. I have also taught English to middle school students as a volunteer for a year during high school, and I found the experience incredibly rewarding and enjoyable.
Even at university, studying a different subject, I have utilised the exam techniques and writing skills I learnt at school. I am particularly good at working with essay style questions, and encouraging students to develop their own personal responses and style.
