About Samantha
I am young female that just graduated univerity with a sports medicine degree. About half way through my uni years I realized how muched I missed mathematics. I know it sounds crazy but it was my favorite subject in highschool, and although I was passionate, it was still very challenging. I wasn't gifted in the field but I wanted to push through and I did! I know have a math minor and still don't want to give it up, that's why I turned to tutoring so I could keep it in my life. I know how frustrating math can be but it can also be very fun if you let it!

Math can be very confusing and even frustrating, and having just been a math student myself, I can understand how unhelpful a classroom setting can be for new topics. I like to begin by assessing the student's current understanding of the topic and identifying any gaps in their knowledge that need to be addressed. I like use visual aids such as charts, geometric shapes, and graphs to illustrate concepts. Lastly, exposing diverse problem sets to best understand the topic as a whole. In school I was a slow learner at first and sometimes all I needed was to take a step back, slow down the learning process, and repeat problems until it stuck.
