About Laura
I have been giving casual lessons on and off for most of middle and high school. I have taught a total of about 5 students, all of different ages and in different courses, e.g. IB, IGCSE, Cambridge Checkpoint. They have all achieved results that were better than expected and have now successfully moved on to further education.

I am a Neuroscience student in King's College London and am currently in my first year of university. I have graduated from the International Baccalaureate diploma programme with a grade of 37 (out of 45) and am highly qualified in Maths and Sciences, especially Chemistry, which I am currently also doing in my university degree.
I have previously helped IGCSE students with their exam preparation and can therefore help current GCSE level student with their studies. I am also familiar with the syllabuses of the IB programme and with some adjustments would also be able to help A-level students.
I am also willing to help pupils in their last years of university with their UCAS applications for English universities, especially in writing personal statements, which is an integral and arguably the most important part of the application process.
The way I teach highly depends on the student and I try to adapt my tutoring to their personality. I like to first get to know the ways the person is used to learning and what they find most useful before proceeding with a style of teaching. The same goes for the taught material - the initial discussion must include what the student finds most complicated in their studies and what areas they want to improve in.
