About Surraya
As a current student and someone with over 3 years of experience in tutoring privately, I believe I have the experience in teaching and engaging with children to be a successful tutor. The students I have taught in the past have been between the ages of 7-15. It is my goal to combine my experience and my ability to be a passionate, enthusiastic and knowledgeable teacher to make a positive contribution to students’ lives. Moreover, I have also spent time as a tutee hence why I have a clear understanding of what clients expect from a tutor.

I have worked with a range of different children hence why understand teaching need to be tailored and different for each child. The children I have worked with most recently had immigrated to the UK from Pakistan and it was my job to improve their numeracy and literacy with respect to the English curriculum. My role led me to develop my communication and organisation skills with respect to teaching, lesson planning and finding creative ways to present information in order to ensure my students retained it.
