About Joy N
I am a neuroscientist with a PhD in Biomedical Sciences and over 15 years of experience in academia, university teaching, private tutoring, and the biotech sector. My background gives me a strong understanding of both scientific theory and real-world applications, which I bring into my teaching.
I specialise in helping students understand complex scientific concepts by breaking them down into clear, manageable steps. My teaching style is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style.
I have worked with students across different ages and academic levels, supporting them with subject knowledge, exam preparation, assignments, and confidence-building. I also have experience with teaching IB students. My aim is to create a professional, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deeper understanding of the subject.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching in universities and working as a private tutor. My approach is patient, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I focus on breaking complex concepts into clear, manageable steps, using examples and practice to build confidence and understanding.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though this can be adapted depending on the student’s goals and level. I work with students of different ages and abilities, from school and university students to adult learners, and tailor each session to their pace, learning style, and objectives.
