About Erica
I swam competitively at The Dads Club where I qualified for two Olympic Trials and was selected to travel on the USA All Star Team to represent USA in Russia. I graduated from The Ohio State University after competing at the national championships all four years, being named All-American and Big Ten Champion. After college I took a few years off but the pool called me back. I worked at The Houstonian Club for 31 years as a Swim Instructor and then Aquatics Director. I now work independently as a swim coach. I am certified as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, Lifeguard Instructor and Lifeguard. My goal as a coach/Instructor is to help people learn swimming in a way they will enjoy it all of their lives, whether they want to compete or just recreate.

Whether you want lessons for your child, your swimmer or yourself, I can help. 30-minute, 45-minute or 1-hour lessons will help with understanding balance, timing and propulsion in all of the different strokes, turns and starts. Skills are appropriate to age group and experience. Toddlers are taught about safety in and around pools/water bodies, how to back float, how to roll to get on their back and how to get their breath.
