About Silvia
I have recently been awarded the CELTA, a Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
I am eager to start teaching English. This beautiful language has always been my favourite subject at school and I know how hard it can be from the side of the student to memorize the grammar rules whilst struggling to get the spelling and the pronunciation right.
I have been living in London for the past ten years now. During this period I have been perfecting my knowledge of the language day in and day out. I have earned a Masters in Journalism at Birkbeck university and made a living thanks to my barista skills. Yes, I have done it all!
But now I'm ready for the next step.
Teaching English online, here I come!

As I've learned during the demanding CELTA course, a solid lesson plan that has a clear communicative aim, is the basis you need to deliver a great and useful lesson.
Students appreciate the opportunity to produce the language in a natural setting as well as learning the rules.
A good understanding of a student's needs and motivation for learning English goes a long way towards the goal itself: it helps the teacher to prepare a better lesson and, consequently, benefits the student who finds himself/herself more receptive and eager to learn.
