About Archie
I'm 20 years old and grew up going through local comprehensive schools, where I finished my GCSEs with nine grade 9s — a result that earned me an academic scholarship to one of the best schools in the country, Brighton College. I spent two years there through sixth form studying Maths, Physics and Chemistry, playing rugby alongside my studies, and came away with three A's. That opened the door to the University of Bath, where I was offered a place to read a Master's in Mechanical Engineering.
I'm now in my third of four years, and it's going well hoping to be on track to graduate with a first-class Master's, all while playing for the current BUCS Super Rugby champions and pushing my game further at the same time.
More than anything, I love STEM. It's the field I'm building my career in, and along the way I want to help others discover how far they can go in it too. If I can pass on some of what got me here — and inspire a bit of the same enthusiasm — that's what makes tutoring genuinely rewarding for me.

Every lesson follows a structure that actually works. I start by introducing — or reintroducing — the topic with clear, informative slides, and where it helps I'll bring in demonstrative videos so you can see the concepts in action. From there I talk through worked examples step by step, so you understand not just the answer but the reasoning behind it. Then it's your turn: you tackle questions yourself, with me on hand to help whenever you get stuck, correct any mistakes, and explain exactly where things went wrong and why. It's a build-up from "watch me" to "do it yourself" — the point at which real learning sticks.
Lessons usually run for an hour, with the option to extend or add more if you want extra support before an exam or a tricky topic.
I've also tutored and supported students in the years below me throughout my own studies, so I know how to explain difficult ideas in a way that clicks — and how to adapt when one explanation isn't landing.
