I am currently a graduate student at Northwestern studying Reproductive Science & Medicine. My method is to help students understand course material by taking what they know and expanding that knowledge through study techniques and resources for their style of learning. I understand that each student learns at their own pace, and am very patient when it comes to learning or re-learning course material. I identify the students weaknesses and work with them to change study habits by providing them with quizzes, reading assignments, and resources to enhance their level of learning.
I am a tutor and student who loves helping others find new ways to study course material. I have taught undergraduate students in NYC who have passed their classes with a B+ and higher. I make learning science easy to understand and engaging for students of all ages.

I am happy to write a recommendation letter for Vanessa Rosa, who tutored me during my junior year of college.
I have always loved science but it never translated in my grades. Vanessa helped tutor me through cell biology. She did not give up on me and would prep weekly exams to help solidify my understanding of the subject. Soon she came to realize what methods helped me learn best, tools that now I know are essential for my learning style. She was very passionate in having me succeed, very patient and always happy to help with anything she could.
She will help you find the confidence you'll need to tackle any class and will work with you to ensure you not only pass the class but really understand the material.
Vanessa has been tutoring me for about two years and she takes the time to go back into her old notes just to help her students where they currently stand. She is also very humble and it feels comfortable to be around her. She is stern, but not rude, and it is going to get her really far.
I've known Vanessa for a few years now. I met her through tutoring. She's an excellent science tutor. She clearly explains the material and she's easy to understand. She really knows her stuff. I would recommend Vanessa to all other superprof members.
Vanessa is an excellent tutor who is truly passionate about helping the student(s) understand their material. She is patient and uses encouraging words to help. She helped me be confident in my ability to do assignments and to believe in myself. You will be so ecstatic to learn something new from her!
I've known Vanessa personally for many years. She is an intelligent, bright, passionate, and caring biology tutor. Vanessa makes sure that you understand the work and will not move on until you do. She teaches the material step by step so that it is easy for you to understand. She will go at your pace to make sure you understand the material.
You should definitely give her a chance so that you can approve.
I have had the pleasure of having Mrs. Vanessa as a tutor for several semesters in my college career. She is a very dedicated teacher who goes above and beyond to make sure her students understand the material. Her love and drive for what she teaches makes every session interesting and you leave feeling more confident about the work. Definitely book her ASAP!
I’ve known Vanessa personally for a long time and I know how dedicated she is with her studies. She has tutored me before with chemistry. She did not quit until I understood the topics and was able to solve the problems. Vanessa is kind, understanding and patient. You will be satisfied. Give her a try!
