About Sara
I have been tutoring for the past 12 years in subjects varying from middle school math to college level science courses. Throughout these 12 years I've had roughly about 50 students since then. My first experience tutoring was when I 15 years old working for a local after school program. My very first student was a 12 year old girl failing her math class. At first, i started with simply just helping her with her homework, and i saw very little improvement in her test scores. I knew at this point I had to do more. I then started to teach her the most important concept you can learn. I taught her how to understand material. We worked on study guides, practice tests, and note taking skills. By the end of the year my first student ever went from a D- average student to an A average student. Ever since then I have helped every student raise their grade at least 1-2 letter grades.

Hello everyone, my name is Sara and I am a college graduate from Nova Southeastern University. I have a bachelors in Biology and a minor in Business. I believe that in order to learn a certain subject you must first understand it. My teaching methodology is simple, I help you learn all the ins and outs of the subject in a way that will stay in your long term memory not your short term. In effect this will help the student retain their information through knowledge not memorization.
