About Michael
I was awarded my first book deal in 2000 when John Gordon Burke Publishing hired me to write a book about new urbanism, an interesting way of designing cities to meet the needs of the pedestrian. Since then, I have written as a freelancer for clients as well as for myself. My novels include 'Joker Joker Deuce,' 'The Deeper Dark,' and 'A River in the Ocean.' I have also written screenplays for directors and producers in the filmmaking industry. My screenplay 'Joker Joker Deuce,' the script version of the book, was optioned by a Hollywood producer in 2019 but 2020 put the production on hold. My articles are all around the internet on various sites I can't mention here. There are rules about that. But I assure you, I have written on a wide range of topics and I know how to get the juices flowing.

We live in a fast world where deadlines come quickly! I teach in that mode but not in the way that will overwhelm you, just wake up the writer inside of you that you may not have known was there.
I start where you are. Our first lesson just might be the only one you need when you tell me what you are trying to learn and I cater our lesson to fit that need. An essay or article can possibly be written in one lesson. A book or a screenplay will take longer.
If you are a high school or college student trying to get through a writing assignment or an entire semester, we'll get you the A+ you want.
If you are an aspiring writer with ideas but don't know how to move forward, you won't have any questions left after I walk you through it.
Additional lessons can include the publishing process, putting together a pitch deck, writing a proposal, writing a synopsis, or writing a query letter.
