About Asyhiddiq
Hi! I’m an Electrical & Electronic Engineering undergraduate at Nanyang Technological University with a Minor in Business, currently maintaining a strong academic record with a recent GPA of 4.04/5.0. I have a strong foundation in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and problem-solving, and I enjoy helping students truly understand concepts rather than just memorizing answers (trust me, I understand the pain of blindly memorizing too whilst I was in your shoes going through the same exams as you are now haha!).
Beyond academics, I’ve worked on real-world projects involving AI, machine learning, electronics, and programming, including developing an AI-powered cardiovascular disease prediction system and a closed-loop audio amplifier system using Python feedback control. I’ve also interned in technology and engineering-related roles, including AI product testing and semiconductor process engineering.
As someone who has gone through the Singapore education system (O Levels + A Levels + university engineering), I understand the challenges students face when learning difficult concepts in Math, Physics, coding, and problem-solving subjects. My teaching style focuses on:
Simplifying difficult concepts into intuitive explanations
Teaching “why” something works, not just formulas
Building strong fundamentals and exam confidence
Adapting explanations based on each student’s learning style once I have identified their learning habits etc
Using step-by-step methods and real examples
I also have leadership and communication experience through hackathons, consulting projects, and team leadership roles, which helps me explain concepts clearly and patiently.

Based on past leadership experiences, I strive towards building a strong, high communication style relationship and also by being relatable to each unique personality so as to remove the chances of awkwardness and tendencies of intimidation by potential students towards me.
My typical lesson will consist of myself identifying the students' weaknesses and pain points in each topic, then crafting/sourcing out multiple questions for them to practice after I have explained to them the main concepts and answer any doubts they have. My typical lesson will ideally be minimally 1.5 hours, as I feel you can't do much learning/teaching within an hour unless the student is already naturally strong.
I have no prior teaching experience. I graduated from TKSS (O-Levels), TMJC (A-Levels) and am now currently pursuing my degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at NTU.
My lesson levels range from primary (Mathematics) to secondary level (Mathematics and Physics).
