About Alyssa
I am a third year nursing student at the University of Maryland in Baltimore. I have previously taken AP Calculus (received a 5 on the exam) as well as college level statistics and chemistry. I have tutored in mathematics from Algebra to Calculus, primarily in person. I would like to move to virtual tutoring.

My teaching approach has primarily focused on explaining concepts then putting them into practice. I like to present the material in a variety of different ways to reach the learner. I would like to see the students notes/homework beforehand to review concepts and prepare material. If there is a specific section or concept that the student is struggling with, I will focus on that topic in the lesson.

She is always patient when I feel like I’m not understanding something and still pursues teaching me. She also try’s to find the best ways to help me understand the material.
