About Andrea
I am in nursing school. I have lots of experience in tutoring students in algebra (roughly 30). I have brought 2 current classmates from a C to an A-. I use math every day in my science classes and even english when I read articles and research.

I usually tutor college students, but I have tutored a few students from my high school. I tend to show how to do a problem, have the student solve the problem with me, then on their own with supervision. In algebra specifically, I can teach problems in multiple ways. I tend to ask my students how they learn best and try my best to follow how they learn. I think that is key to retaining information. If you teach the opposite of someone's learning style, then they don't retain it in for long periods of time, if at all.

Details
If traveling farther than Omaha, I would like to be charged a $10 travel fee to aide in cost in gas. However, if the weather is dangerous to drive in, I would insist on webcam for the safety of me and my students. Then if more time is needed because the weather did not allow in-person tutoring, I will meet in person for half my rate ($8).
