About Laila

Assalamu Alaikum! I'm a dedicated Qur’an, Iqra, and Arabic teacher with years of experience helping students of all ages and levels — from young children to adults and reverts. I hold formal certification in Qur’an and Arabic studies, and my teaching style is calm, patient, and personalised to suit each student’s pace and needs.

I support my students in building a strong foundation. Most students complete the full Iqra series in just 6–7 months, after which they’re ready to begin memorising the Qur’an with confidence and understanding. Whether you're starting from scratch or continuing your journey, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

I also warmly welcome reverts and anyone seeking to reconnect with the Qur’an and Arabic in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

About the lesson

For Iqra students, I ensure a well-paced learning journey, where most students complete the entire series within 6–7 months while mastering Tajweed. Once they’ve finished Iqra, they’re ready to begin memorising the Qur'an with confidence.

Each student’s learning plan is carefully tailored based on their schedule, ensuring flexibility and balance. I aim to centre the Qur'an around their life, making the learning experience enjoyable, not overburdening. Students learn in digestible portions, and I use storytelling techniques and even turn lessons into games to help them remember easily and keep them engaged.

For Qur'an memorisation (Hifdh) or recitation (Tilawat), I offer a choice based on the student’s goals, with an emphasis on fluency, correct pronunciation, and consistency. I strongly focus on Murajaa (review), helping students solidify their memorisation, so they feel confident and never overwhelmed. Students also get to learn the Islamic religion education alongside their Quran.

My method ensures that students don’t just memorise quickly but also enjoy a fluent pronunciation and clear recitation of the Qur'an. Every step of the way is filled with excitement and joy, turning the journey into a meaningful, spiritual, and fulfilling experience.
