About Jessy
As an individual, I am deeply passionate about learning. This might make me sound like a nerd, but after graduating, I found myself missing the feeling of having someone curate information to stuff into my head at times. I love the education space, and in shaping young minds. My first ever internship was with MOE where I taught Secondary 3 -5 students Physics and Math in school. There are 2 reasons why I did not apply for NIE or PGDE, 1. I hope to see and immerse in a non-school space for some time before returning to school, believing that I can provide more value to my students then. 2. For now, the wake up at 6am life is one I would like to defer. Freelance tutoring thus gives me the best of both worlds for now. I can continue exploring my own passions and interests, while keeping abreast the latest developments in the education space and keeping my love for teaching alive.
