About Izel

Hello! My name is Izel, and I am currently studying Education at North-West University. I am passionate about teaching young learners and helping them build strong foundations in Social Sciences. I believe that understanding History and Geography is an important part of making sense of the world around us, and I enjoy guiding students as they explore new ideas. I have experience working with learners at different ability levels, and I take a patient, caring approach to teaching. My lessons are structured, interactive, and designed to make learning enjoyable. I explain concepts in simple, relatable ways and use real-life examples to help students understand and remember what they learn. I encourage curiosity and questions, and I make sure every learner feels supported and confident. I am proficient in both English and Afrikaans, and can teach in either language depending on the learner’s needs. My goal is to help primary school learners develop strong thinking skills, gain confidence in Social Sciences, and enjoy the learning process. I look forward to helping you grow on your learning journey!

About the lesson

I approach Social Sciences tutoring with a patient, structured, and engaging methodology designed specifically for primary school learners. My goal is to help young students understand the world around them by explaining History and Geography in simple, practical ways that connect to their everyday experiences.

What makes me unique as a tutor is my ability to create a positive learning environment where learners feel confident and supported. I take time to break down concepts step-by-step, encourage curiosity, and use real-life examples, visuals, and fun activities to make learning enjoyable and meaningful.

I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and can teach in either language, depending on the learner’s needs and comfort level.

A typical lesson includes a short review of previous work, a clear and interactive explanation of new ideas, guided activities, and short practice tasks. Students can expect patient support, helpful feedback, and interesting discussions that help them build strong understanding and critical thinking skills.

My lessons are aimed at primary school learners of all abilities, whether they need help understanding new topics, revising classwork, preparing for tests, or building confidence in Social Sciences.
