About Marc
My philosophy to teaching is to first develop and then maintain enthusiasm for studying the language, then instill confidence in the student so they truly believe that they can be successful. It is important to convey to students that they currently possess all the skills needed to succeed. Equally, if not more important, is to be supportive in the process of guiding students through the study and work necessary to steadily develop their proficiency. I liken learning a second language to learning to play a musical instrument. Persistence and practice are paramount to “get to Carnegie Hall”. My ultimate goal is to lead them to self-discovery and independent study on their path towards bilingualism.
