About Alley
Alley Olivier is a 4th-year teacher at a Brooklyn, NY charter high school currently teaching two courses: senior ELA and AP Language and Composition. She has taught Intro to Computer Science, Global History I and a Journalism elective while coaching the school's competitive all-girl step team. Alley is an active writer who enjoys bringing pop culture and current events into the classroom to ensure students improve their writing through real-world application.

My teaching method is hands on: analyzing what is happening out in the world now and applying it to our own writer toolkits. My passion for teaching first started on the stage, leading small cohorts of teen girls to writing, directing, and acting in their own plays - or recording music.
