About Ben
I always bring a fun and light approach to teaching. Music is something to be enjoyed, and there is often too much pressure set on practicing. My lessons are meant to be a safe space for learning, despite any skill level or long-term objectives.

Music has been a cornerstone in my life that has continuously humbled me. There is always more to learn, and always more to teach. Modern-day music theory is an amalgamation of passed-on knowledge that has been collected. In order to continue the cycle that allows music to develop and transform, it is vital that knowledge is passed down. My objective is to teach students about music in an exciting and engaging way, with a primary objective of inspiring students to love music. I believe that if this can be established, then the process of learning complex ideas and developing advanced musicianship will become a natural process fueled by the curiosity of the student.
I teach in-person at my studio off Metropolitan-Lorimer in Williamsburg. I am also available for travel if a drum set is on site.
