About Grace
I am a driven and highly organised individual and I believe learning an instrument should be accessible for everyone and is a great skill to have. I would love to share my passion for music and the oboe with my students. I’ve spent the past 6 years studying the oboe with top professional oboists at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Music and am excited to pass on their expertise. I have struggled with performance anxiety in the past and believe I have developed numerous skills to help overcome this which I would love to share and pass on to anyone else struggling. I am patient and supportive and can work with people of any age and ability.

Every lesson will be tailored to each individual student and I aim to create a supportive and nurturing environment for students. I understand the pressures that come with learning an instrument and am passionate about helping each student enjoy their learning experience. I can follow the ABRSM Syllabus for those looking to work towards grades or not stick to a specific syllabus should students want a more flexible approach. I aim to make each lesson fun and help students work towards their goals and can incorporate fun games for those just starting out, or focus on specific technique issues for those further down the line. I am also a capable reed maker and am happy to support students looking to make their own reeds as well.
