About Ahmad

I strive to be the teacher I always needed and wished I’d had myself.

I completed my Master’s in Mathematical Modeling, Simulation and Optimization with a focus on applicable theory at Munich University in Germany.

With over eight years of experience teaching mathematics, I’ve learned that a good explanation can change everything. I don’t just show you how to solve problems but I show you why the methods work.

Teaching is not just a job for me, it’s a genuine passion...

Whether it is Real or Complex Analysis, Linear or Abstract Algebra, Logic, Probability Theory, or Statistics, I help students move beyond memorisation and build a deep, lasting understanding of the subject.

I offer support with:
– Homework and assignments
– Exam preparation for university, A Level, IB, and other school curricula
– Preparation for entrance exams
– Support with Bachelor’s and Master’s theses involving mathematics, statistics, or quantitative modelling

Each lesson is prepared individually and with great care, out of respect for your time and the trust you place in me.

After every session, I provide a clear PDF summary with the key concepts covered and all exercises solved together.

I also work with homeschooling families who want their child to be taught mathematics properly.

  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

My interest in mathematics and tutoring developed during my university years. I often had to rely on myself to understand difficult concepts in a clear and structured way. Over time, I developed my own method: breaking complicated ideas into smaller steps, organizing the theory, writing clean explanations, and applying everything through examples.

I naturally started helping friends and classmates, and many of them were impressed by how clearly I could structure the material. That was when I realized that teaching is not only about knowing the subject, but about organizing knowledge in a way that another person can actually understand.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students, and possibly those you like a little less.

I teach mathematics and statistics at school and university level. This includes algebra, functions, calculus, linear algebra, analysis, probability, statistics, regression, hypothesis testing, and mathematics for economics and business.

Statistics is one of the subjects I have taught the most, especially to students from non-mathematical backgrounds such as psychology, political science, economics, business, and social sciences. I enjoy helping these students because the issue is often not lack of ability, but lack of structure.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

I admire the older, more classical image of the teacher: someone who does not merely give information, but forms the student’s way of thinking. In that sense, I respect figures such as Plato and Aristotle, especially their emphasis on dialogue, logic, discipline, and intellectual formation.

I also admire teachers who are clear, patient, and strict in a healthy way. A good teacher should not make the student dependent on him; he should teach the student how to think independently.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

A good tutor needs preparation, clarity, patience, structure, and honesty.

Preparation matters because a tutor should understand the topic, the typical mistakes, and the student’s likely difficulties. Clarity matters because knowing mathematics is not the same as explaining it well.

A good tutor also has to understand the student. Some students lack confidence, some rush too quickly, some have weak foundations, and some mainly need exam strategy. The lesson should adapt to the real problem, not only to the chapter title.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

During my studies, I noticed that many students did not fail because the topic was impossible. They failed because they did not know how to begin.

When we slowed down and asked simple questions — What is given? What is required? Which topic is this? Which formula could apply? — the problem usually became much clearer. This still influences my teaching today: before solving, we first learn how to read, organize, and understand the problem.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

One major challenge in mathematics and statistics is that everything builds on previous knowledge. A student may think the problem is derivatives, but the real issue may be algebra. Another student may struggle with hypothesis testing, but the real problem may be probability or distributions.

As a tutor, my challenge is to find the real source of confusion. I do not want to only help a student survive one exercise. I want to repair the foundation so that future topics become easier.
  • Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general, an element of the subject, or something completely different?

My passion is structured thinking. Mathematics and statistics are powerful because they force precision: you must know what is given, what is required, which method applies, and why the conclusion follows.

I also enjoy preparing material, organizing ideas, explaining difficult concepts, and seeing students become more confident. Outside of teaching, I am interested in reading, philosophy, psychology, and classical literature, which also shape the way I think about education.
  • What makes you a Superprof besides answering these interview questions?

What makes me a strong tutor is that I do not only solve exercises in front of the student. I teach the student how to think through the exercise.

My lessons are structured: first we clarify the theory, then we solve examples slowly, then we move to exam-style questions, and finally we analyze mistakes. I adapt to the student’s real needs, whether that means rebuilding basics, preparing for an exam, improving confidence, or learning how to work more independently.

For me, a good tutor does not simply make the subject easier for one hour. He gives the student tools that remain useful after the lesson is over.
