About Ms Umul

I am an elementary school teacher at a Home Schooling in Surabaya. Once taught Sempoa at one of the Sempoa tutoring institutions in Surabaya. I have been giving private lessons since 2018. Becoming a teacher is my dream because I really like young children.

About the lesson

The method I teach is to count quickly using the abacus counter and using the shadows in the abacus. The material I teach is about addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. The way of teaching that I apply is learning while playing. With the aim that children do not feel bored while learning and can understand every material I teach. I will teach brain exercises before teaching and learning activities are carried out, with the aim that children become more focused while learning. I also provide study books or manuals that are easy for children to understand. Here are the benefits of learning an abacus for children: 1. Become more focused and strengthen concentration 2. Can optimize the right and left brain 3. Increase the speed of thinking
