About Scott
Music should be accessible to everyone regardless of their current ability level. Most students struggle with the gap between theory and playing their favorite songs. I bridge this by taking your specific song requests and creating simplified arrangements that fit your current skill set.
My BFA from Concordia provides a strong academic backbone for every lesson I lead. Tuning and maintenance are also covered to ensure your instrument is always ready for practice. It feels good to see progress happen quickly when the material is directly relevant to what you want to play.

Strings vibrating under my fingertips first drew me toward the world of music theory and performance. I spent 7 years honing my craft to assist returning learners and self-taught players seeking real structure. My approach centers on ear training and fingerpicking to build a solid foundation for lead guitar work.
Dealing with 153 students has refined my ability to explain complex technical aspects in very simple terms. I enjoy guiding people toward their musical goals while maintaining a steady and focused pace throughout our time together.
