About Margaret
You likely want to bridge the gap between being a casual strummer and a confident musician. Having earned a BM Guitar and BA English from Humber, I combine academic rigor with a practical, community-based approach.
Over 217 students have walked through my door to find their own sound or refine their technique. My teaching style remains clear and encouraging regardless of whether you are a teen or a returning adult learner. I enjoy working with self-taught players who need more structure in their practice routines.

Scales, modes, and lead guitar techniques are the core building blocks I provide to help you find your voice on the fretboard. It is a strange fact that I often struggle to keep my own practice sessions as organized as I keep yours.
Working with kids, working professionals, and self-taught players allows me to see the instrument from many angles. My BM Music Education and CELTA from U of T give me the pedagogical tools to simplify complex theory for my students. As a first-generation Canadian, I value the identity-affirming nature of music education. I am happy to guide your musical path.
