About Sharon

I am a Psychologist with a B.Sc. Honors in Psychology (First Class) and M.Sc. Clinical Psychology (Distinction). I have enjoyed studying the subject over the past five years and look forward to engaging with students who are taking up the subject and also offer any guidance that I can for those who would like to take it up as a career path. In addition to my qualifications, I have also cleared the UGC NET exam in Psychology for Assistant Professor. I have also gained practical experience in the areas of research and psychotherapy during the course of my studies and since graduating.

About the lesson

- My teaching method involves an emphasis on developing a well-rounded understanding of the basic concepts of the subject and their applications wherever relevant.
- In addition to the coursework that you may be covering in your educational institution, I would be more than happy to provide you with extra reading and help you engage with published research in the area. My classes will use a mix of didactic teaching (presentations, lectures), interactive activities, and self-study components.
- A typical one hour class begins with 5-10 minutes of revision and discussion of the homework assigned in the previous class followed by 30-40 minutes of teaching and activities based on the topic scheduled for that class and ends with 5-10 minutes of doubt clearing and assignment of self-study components (homework).
- The students who would benefit most from the classes are 11th, 12th, and first-year undergraduates.
- I offer a crash course for first-year undergraduates who have opted for Psychology as a subject. Ideally, the course lasts 45-48 classes over three months however, I may be able to alter this to an extent based on individual needs. This course is especially helpful for those who have not studied the subject in school and have opted for Psychology in college or are appearing for an entrance exam for the same. The coursework covers the syllabus taught in 11th and 12th standard (CBSE).

Cancellation Policy:

For single session bookings: If cancelled 3 hours prior to the scheduled class time, I will be able to cancel at no fee/reschedule based on availability.

For multiple session bookings: Cancellation of classes will not be accommodated but the session can be rescheduled by adding an extra hour to the following session or rescheduling for a mutually convenient date within the next fortnight (fourteen days)

Concessions:

Fees may be reduced to a minimum of 450/ hour if there is proven financial constraint provided, the student is regular to scheduled classes.
