About David
Over 16 years of teaching has helped me understand the teaching and learning side of the process of education. I have taught in a wide variety of schools and two different states. My experience in those schools has allowed me to develop a diverse understanding of the student and their classroom experience.

With my years of experience as a Math teacher, I can spot a student's specific area of misunderstanding quickly. When a student shows their work, I can help them see where they made a mistake and help reiterate where they are starting to grasp the material. I also understand many different approaches used in schools to teach students math.
My years as a Science teacher has allowed me to develop a mental library of approaches to help students understand the topic.
I lean on emphasizing the students strengths, so that they can see what they know. Then when a student has confidence in themselves, I help them make adjustments to where misunderstanding starts to keep in.
