About Cam
I’ve been working and volunteering as a tutor, student teacher, or reading buddy since I was 14 years old. I’ve worked with students from a wide range of ages and learning levels from first graders to sophomores in college. While earning my Master’s, I spent the year volunteering at local elementary schools in New Orleans. I planned, organized, and taught different 4th grade classes a science lesson with a fun hands-on activity every week. But more importantly, I’ve played both the role of tutor and student. I’ve taken several tutoring courses as I prepared for my MCAT, and have had 1-on-1 tutoring when I needed help myself in college. Having been on both sides, I’ve learned what strategies work best to engage my students so that they are not only receptive of the material but also able to apply what they have learned.

After graduating with honors from both Ole Miss and Tulane I’ve taken over 140 hours of science courses, with 90 hours being at an advanced level.
In addition to undergraduate and graduate school applications and coursework, I have written over 27 essays for my medical school application alone. I also have extensive experience in scientific writing for thesis papers and manuscripts. In fact, I recently submitted a manuscript for under peer review with hope to be published in a scientific journal soon!
