I took AP Spanish my senior year of high school (receiving a four on the AP test) and have since had the opportunity to practice the language in Costa Rica and Barcelona, Spain. I also spent four months in Perú where I performed a homestay with an indigenous family while studying local botany and anthropology of the highlands. I have had experience learning Spanish from multiple different professors (who are paid professionals) and I have often noticed where they do well and where improvements could be made. I understand that learning a language can be a very frustrating process for many and I'm here to make it substantially easier.
When tutoring, I will assess where the student is with subject material and procede with the necessary, logical steps to advance the student's abilities. I would describe myself as kind, fun, reasonable, and responsible. I will not try to discourage my students in anyway, but rather understand where they are and what it is that they need from me as a teacher. I want my student to learn the language efficiently and to have fun doing so.
