About Gili

I'm a biochemistry graduate with a minor in science education and nine years of experience teaching science in classrooms, labs, and one-on-one settings. I’ve worked as a university research assistant and teaching assistant, and I’m passionate about making chemistry clear, relatable, and even enjoyable. I tailor each session to my students’ goals and learning styles, and I specialize in breaking down complex topics with patience, real-life examples, and structured guidance. As a biochem graduate, I know how hard the chemistry field can be, especially when just starting out. About the lesson

I offer private chemistry lessons for high school, college, and adult learners, tailored to your level and learning style. My approach is patient, concept-focused, and practical—rooted in my experience as a biochemistry graduate and university teaching assistant. Lessons typically combine guided problem-solving, real-world examples, and simplified explanations to build confidence and long-term understanding. We will review various types of practice problems as well as logic skills that will help you understand the reasoning behind certain problems. We will also develop memorization techniques that will help you memorize complex formulas or diagrams. Whether you're preparing for AP Chemistry, college chem classes, or lab reports, I help you understand not just what to do, but why it works. I have experience with gen chem, orgo, physical chem, inorganic and biochem. My background in both lab research and science education allows me to bridge textbook learning with hands-on relevance. All levels welcome!
