About Lloyd
My name is Lloyd and I am a 22 year old final-year student studying French at the University of Leeds. Through many years of study, both personal and in formal education I have been able to reach fluency in French. I am a firm believer in the fact that anyone can learn French if it is taught in a patient and stimulating manner, and through my passion for the subject, I am excited to help you meet your goals in learning French. Like many people, I found the initial stages of studying French perplexing and often frustrating. However, this needn't be the case as through clear and patient instruction, anyone is able to grasp the fundamentals of grammar and vocabulary needed to achieve your desired goals in the language. As a native English speaker who has reached fluency, I know all too well that sometimes, certain concepts in other languages don't seem to make sense, and I aim to work patiently and pragmatically through any confusions together. Bonjour! My name is Lloyd and I am a final year French Student at the University of Leeds. I offer French tuition on an online flexible basis from beginner up to advanced levels. As a native English speaker who has reached fluency through study, I understand how difficult the initial stages of learning a language can be for those who aren't from a bilingual background. Navigating the many aspects of learning a language, including vocabulary, grammar listening and conversation can often feel insurmountable. However, I know from my own experience that anyone can learn French, and it can be done in a relaxed open and stimulating manner. My means of teaching is entirely flexible and adaptable based upon your own desired outcomes of the teaching, and I own and have experience with a variety of textbooks from GCSE level upwards.
