About Lyra
My name is Lyra. I am a fully qualified TEFL tutor, degree educated, a native English speaker, and C1 proficient in French and Spanish.
I love sharing ideas and connecting through language and culture. I’m fascinated by the ways in which we express ourselves and perceive each other through language, and how that changes depending on which language we speak! Exploring this aspect of language learning with others truly excites me, and is something which has drawn me to teaching.

My approach to teaching languages is individual to the student. We can craft a learning plan based on your needs, interests, and aspirations.
We will focus on a mixture of reading, writing, listening and speaking, planning our lesson content with continuity and coherence in mind. Each week, we will assign clear, achievable, and targeted learning goals to review in the following lesson.
Each lesson will be 1 hour. Suitable for intermediate to advanced learners, age 16+. I am educated to degree level, hold a level 5 TEFL certificate, and have worked in a variety of teaching environments.
