About Yun Jae

Hello, it's nice to meet you! My name is Yun and I'm an avid chess player who has been playing the game for around 6 years. At the time of this posting, I'm nearly at the expert level, being rated 1900+ and 2100+ on Chess.com Rapid Time Controls (15 + 10) and Lichess Classical Time Controls (30 + 0) respectively. I have previous experience teaching the game to elementary school children so I understand the importance of simplifying complex concepts so that anyone can understand the main idea that I'm trying to get across.

I'm a theoretician of the game, being completely self-taught, so you can expect me to share a lot of interesting ideas and my unique approach to the game of chess. Still, I focus on what works, helping students get past their plateaus by unraveling what makes better players better so that they improve in an efficient manner. Take a chance with me, I will give you results.

About the lesson

My lessons are intended for anyone rated below 1700. With me, you can expect to gain a strong foundational understanding of the game chunked into easily comprehensible concepts that will help you make better moves and win more games. Believe it or not, there are methodological approaches to the game that make the difference of entire classes of players and I will help you make those leaps so that you get to a whole another level. As long as you're not averse to working hard, you'll be able to gain a much greater appreciation for this game and soon you'll realize how rewarding the process can be. In just a few months, I'll teach you everything that I know and then the rest will up to you to decide what you want to do with it. So take my hand, and see how deep this can go.
