About Emilie

For the past 10 years, I have been teaching in France and abroad (Argentina, the Netherlands), in companies, in language centres (Alliance française de Buenos Aires, LV Studio ...), higher education structures (INSA Rennes, CIREFE, Rennes 2), in institutions (Argentine Senate, European Patent Office) and to individuals. I was trained at the University of Rennes, I graduated from a Master 2 in Linguistics and Didactics of French as a Foreign Language (FLE) and regularly participate in training sessions for French instructors.

About the lesson

After 8 years of teaching French, I created Point-virgule, an online French school. I have assembled a team of three excellent French teachers, all native, qualified and experienced, to offer you French lessons individually and in small groups. We offer tailor-made courses, according to your needs and to achieve your goals, whatever they may be (speaking French in a professional context, preparing for an exam, preparing for a trip to France, discovering the French language and culture, improving your oral skills to feel more comfortable in your daily life in France...) Classes are structured and convivial and our teaching method is based on communication, collaborative work between students (for group lessons) and the use of games. We provide follow-up between lessons (correction of homework, answers to your questions, etc.) and help you develop your own learning strategies. Before the first class, you will take a test to determine your exact level. Then we will establish a progression according to your needs and your level. We also offer little group classes in general French and conversation. The fee is: 13£ /student per class. (6 students max). All the courses are held online through a virtual classroom, on Zoom. Between each class, you will get a self study session with : • Activities to prepare the live session or to carry on with the learning process after the live session. • Varied activities, such as discovering a document (text, audio, video) that will be used in class, specific exercises on a grammatical item, or writing and pronunciation practices. • Some of these activities will be sent to your instructor for correction and/or explanation. • This individual work allows to focus on activities that really require your instructor during the live sessions, such as communication, oral production, pronunciation correction, and any specific need for understanding and practising the language.
