About Jadzia

Hi I'm Jadzia, I've just moved from Manchester to Sheffield to study Biomedical Sciences, and I've just finished my A levels and thus my GCSEs only two years ago: by the end of my courses I could recite mark schemes and probably still can! In my tutoring I'd love to share my strategies and tips for training your long-term memory, as well as teaching pattern recognition and exam technique which is just as vital as knowing the facts. Whether you're a grade 4-5 student looking to recap content for a boost up to a 6-7 grade or a higher grade student looking for suitable challenges in our sessions, I can talk you through relevant content and point out what examiners are looking for. At GCSE I achieved all 8s and 9s, with 9 in Edexcel Maths (and 8 in AQA further maths) and 9 in AQA bio, which are the subjects I tutor. At A level I got A* in Bio and A in Maths. Outside of my studies, I have experience tutoring, as well as being a Scout leader and working in hospitality which equipped me with soft skills relevant to tutoring.

About the lesson

I'm looking to tutor students doing Biology or Maths GCSE; my sessions are personalised so I'm willing to teach alongside the content being studied in school to consolidate knowledge, or I can provide challenging sessions for students looking to achieve 8s and 9s. My experience includes tutoring Maths at a local high school, a reference can be provided. I tutor online but I can be flexible with in-person sessions if you live near Sheffield city centre, and standard sessions are an hour/hour and a half per week :)
