About Sophie

I am a an online native English Teacher from London UK and I have tutored children with their homework for over 7 years. I have more than two years experience as a private English Tutor working with adults. Previously I worked as a Recruitment Agent in Digital and then went on to work in Marketing in the Gaming Industry, but now I live with my Family in Barcelona and teach full time. I speak Spanish and Portuguese.

Soy profesora de inglés nativa y soy de Londres, Reino Unido. He enseñado a niños con sus deberes como profesora de refuerzo durante más de 7 años. Tengo más de dos años de experiencia como tutora privado de inglés trabajando con adultos. Anteriormente trabajé como agente de reclutamiento en digital y luego trabajé en marketing en la industria de videojuego, pero ahora vivo con mi familia en Barcelona y enseño inglés a tiempo completo. Hablo español y portugués fluido.

Sou professora de inglês nativa e sou de Londres, Reino Unido. Eu tenho ensinado as crianças com a lição de casa como professor de reforço por mais de 7 anos. Tenho mais de dois anos de experiência como professora particular de inglês, trabalhando com adultos. Anteriormente, trabalhei como agente de recrutamento digital e depois trabalhei em marketing na indústria de videogames, mas agora moro com minha família em Barcelona e ensino inglês em tempo integral. Falo espanhol e português fluentemente.

About the lesson

I teach beginners up to advanced level, my lessons are planned with new vocabulary, reading comprehension and discussion, they are based on current affairs and interesting topics. They are tailored by age. Lessons can also be less formal focusing on conversation and pronunciation. I have many interests such as reading novels, Sci Fi, gaming, baking, cooking, media and technology, painting and modern art, photography, fashion, animals, languages and world literature and of course learning new things! I also have a keen interest in politics and current affairs. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese which really helps me help my students.

Enseño de nivel básico hasta niveles avanzados, mis clases están planeadas por vocabulario nuevo, comprensión de lectura y discusión, se basan en asuntos de actualidad y temas interesantes. Se adaptan por edad. Las clases también pueden ser menos formales centrándose en la conversación y la pronunciación. Tengo muchos intereses, como leer libros, ciencia ficción, video juegos, repostería, cocinar, media y tecnología, pintura y arte moderno, fotografía, moda, animales, idiomas y literatura mundial y, por supuesto, aprender cosas nuevas. También tengo un gran interés en la política y los asuntos actuales. Hablo español y portugués con fluidez, lo que realmente me ayuda a ayudar a mis alumnos.

Ensino desde o nível básico ao avançado, minhas aulas são planejadas para um novo vocabulário, compreensão e discussão de leitura, são baseadas nos assuntos atuais e em tópicos interessantes. Eles se adaptam por idade. As aulas também podem ser menos formais, concentrando-se na conversa e na pronúncia. Tenho muitos interesses, como ler livros, ficção científica, videogames, panificação, culinária, mídia e tecnologia, pintura e arte moderna, fotografia, moda, animais, idiomas e literatura mundial e, claro, aprender coisas novas. Eu também tenho um forte interesse em política e assuntos atuais. Sou fluente em espanhol e português, o que realmente me ajuda a ajudar meus alunos.
