About Sarah
Singing-wise, I have my Grade 8 qualifications in both musical theatre and classical singing, as well as studying music at A-Level and having a firm understanding of music theory. I have performed internationally and have made TV appearances. Concerning teaching, I have had 5 students in the past, and have undertaken an 18-month project involving teaching singing in 2021-22. I am currently a student at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Being half Lebanese, I am bilingual and am fluent in Arabic. Although I do not teach Arabic Singing, I consider myself familiar within the genre.

My lessons involve 3 main objectives: technique, performance and personal style. These may be expanded upon relative to the ambitions of my student, however they form the backbone of singing. My lessons will always start with a warm-up, which integrates technique, and then moves on to working on songs picked by both myself and the students, to allow them to influence the direction of lessons and stylistic pathways. These songs would be refined and explored in order to produce a performance which tells a story and captivates an audience. Lessons are approximately 1 hour. My lessons are not for advanced singers, but for beginners and those at an intermediate level. For example, working towards their Grades 1-5 exams. I am also happy teaching those who are not exam-focused and simply want to improve their skill. I am experienced with genres including classical, musical theatre, pop & rock and jazz.
