About Simon

¡Hola! I am a Spanish tutor from Ireland. I've been living in Spain for over 20 years. I have my own online Spanish language school, with over 150 hours of material, covering a wide range of aspects of the Spanish language, all suitable for both adults and children. I produce my own material, so I can adapt to your needs without any problem.

About the lesson

Having lived in Spain for over 20 years, I've decided to take the knowledge and experience gained of using the Spanish language on a daily basis since then, to the online classroom. I have created my very own Spanish course, for kids (from 8 and above) and adults, for both absolute beginner and intermediate levels. My course is vibrant, thorough and with it, I aim to have my students communicating as the Spanish themselves would. I give great emphasis, not only to what is done in class, but to what we can do between classes. Via audios and text messages, my students have the possibility of practicing their Spanish on a daily basis with me. My student’s goal of learning Spanish will also become my goal. Working together as a team, my ambition is to reach that goal, in the most engaging, memorable and pleasurable way possible.

Excellent! His first lessons are focused on getting the tools - phrases and vocabulary, to start a conversation with the staff in a small shop or cafe, and having gained confidence, to expand from there.

Simon is a great teacher! He adapts the lessons to your needs, and they are always enjoyable and practical. He makes an effort to keep them dynamic and fun.
He’s also very flexible when it comes to scheduling.
His classes are very practice- and conversation-oriented, but he also offers more theoretical lessons if you need them.
I’ve noticed a lot of progress thanks to his classes—I feel like I’ve learned things I can actually use in my everyday conversations.

At sixty yrs old learning a language for the first time I was apprehensive but determined. I have enjoyed learning Spainish so much, I really look forward to the lessons. My confidence has grown, the lessons are fun and easy going and I feel a sense of achievement. And it does get easier! Can't wait for my next Spainish holiday!
