About Andriana
As background, I am an A-Level student who has just finished exams and is keen to share lots of experience, understanding and exam technique. Throughout the course, I was predicted A*A*A* in Year 12, and continued to achieve that consistently throughout Year 13. I believe that anyone has the capability to achieve top grades, and the process to get there does not have to be overly complicated either, so I want to help to guide you though that. This September, I am going on to study Chemistry at the University of Warwick, and my genuine passion for my subjects and teaching means I am enthusiastic to help you get where you want to be.
I have 1 year of experience as a 1-to-1 tutor in teaching students GCSE Chemistry and Biology, many of which went on to study the subject at A-Level and are planning to study it at degree level. Less formally, I frequently taught my peers during A-Levels, patiently helping them to understand concepts and guiding them through exam questions.

These lessons are for students studying A-Level Chemistry (AQA), Biology (AQA) or Maths (Edexcel), who would benefit from a tailored 1-to-1 program which focuses on your weakest topics so that we can maximise the marks you can gain in the exam.
A typical 1 hour lesson with me includes:
1. Thorough explanations of the topic, where I encourage you to ask all questions that come to mind. I am a firm believer in understanding rather than simply memorising as the way to make A-Levels much easier, and exam questions accessible. Asking questions allows us to patch up all holes in your understanding. I like to test this understanding by asking you to explain the topic back to me.
2. Application of this knowledge through short quiz-style questions as well as exam questions that we can go through together.
3. We will then build the concepts and exam technique into your long-term memory through spaced repetition throughout our sessions, which is far more useful than going through a topic once and moving on. It also allows us to form crucial links between several topics together, which is key for deep understanding.
